I'm Kate, the one behind the lens!

a little about me… I was born in st. paul, minnesota where i spent the first ten years of my life before moving to grand rapids, michigan where i graduated high school, attended college, and have built my dream life. i am completely obsessed with my tiny baby cat, Bernadette. if i’m not at home cozied up on the couch editing your photos, you can find me spending time with friends & family, eating at my favorite restaurants, shopping local, trying out a fancy new cocktail, reading a book, or watching a movie or show with all the candles lit.

I have a bachelor of fine arts in photography from kendall college of art & design of ferris state university. during my time at kendall i also had a focus in cultural studies. i am extremely passionate about people, and am always further educating myself on how i can be a better listener, ally, and person. this is a safe space for all.

i love what i do so much, and my whole life revolves around moments - living mine and capturing yours. When you choose me to document your story, you are booking an experience rather than just a photo shoot. a friend, not a stranger or just a vendor. you are booking someone you can feel comfortable around when you are feeling your most VULNERABLE in front of the camera. an inclusive, trustworthy, genuine experience for any one, and every love.

Favorite music artists: suki waterhouse, lola kirke, mac miller, Grateful Dead, sza, cigarettes after sex, the japanese house, remi wolf, lola young, boygenius, & so so so many more!!!

favorite foods: burgers, all the pastas, french fries, grilled cheese & tomato soup, chicken pot pie, blt, the list could go on and on and on... i love food

biggest fear: heights!

pet peeves: when a semi tries to pass another semi or WHEN YOU’RE TRYING TO GET AROUND SOMEONE IN TRADER JOES BUT THE AISLE IS CLOGGED
